CHESTER — Two baseball players were hired as trainers by the Frozen Ropes sports center in Chester.
Jim Schult, former College National Player of the Year, will be a major part of the instruction and baseball travel team coaching program, as well as overseeing the college selection process for high school level players.
He is a first team All-American at Eastern Connecticut, New England Player of the Year recipient, and former professional pitcher. He received his bachelor of science degree from Eastern Connecticut in 2011 and graduated magna cum laude with a business degree.
Kyle Bamberger, current Baltimore Orioles Scout and Player Development advisor, has accepted an instructional and coaching position at Frozen Ropes. He is a former Warwick Valley High School baseball standout and Towson University graduate.
Bamberger has been with the Orioles since 2015 and recently transitioned into his new role as an Associate Scout in the Northeast for the 2017 season. Frozen Ropes says his “high energy and passion to teach, in addition to being a long-time Frozen Ropes student, has made him a fan-favorite already with players and parents.”
he received his undergraduate degree in economics and sports management and will be pursing an masters in business administration this fall.
