Frozen Ropes Director, Tony Abbatine, to present at both Baseball and Softball National Conventions

Tony Abbatine will join Tampa Rays pitching phenom David Price and Colorado Rockies manager Jim Tracey as featured speakers at the upcoming American Baseball Coaches Convention in Nashville TN in January. This will be the fourth time Abbatine has presented at the Convention, which attracts high school, college coaches and professional teams from all over the world. The Convention presents the latest coaching and instructional techniques to over 5000 attendees each year.

In early December, Abbatine will head to San Diego, CA for the National Fastpitch Coaches Convention as a featured speaker and present the latest teaching techniques in throwing and fielding skills. UCLA Head Coach Kelly Perez as well as other college coaches will also present to over 3000 High school and college coaches in attendance. Abbatine presented the Frozen Ropes pitch recognition hitting model to the NFCA attendees in 2009.

A Monroe Woodbury grad and Warwick resident, Tony is the author of numerous articles on player development and his work in the baseball and softball industry has been featured in Sports Illustrated, Newsweek, ESPN, USA Today, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Baseball America and various television media.  As a consultant to their player development department, Tony has been hired by several major league baseball organizations, most recently, New York Yankees, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Boston Red Sox, the Colorado Rockies, and the New York Mets.

Future Hall of Famers Manny Ramirez and Mariano Rivera, along with Team USA Softball Olympian Jessica Mendoza are frequent visitors at Frozen Ropes and are featured in their own instructional videos.
