Training camps for Middle School players?

Tuesday, February 09, 2010 by Dori

My son is doing a persuasive essay on baseball camps. He is having difficulty finding info on if training camps are effective for kids still in Middle school?? What is your opinion or any actual facts/stats?? Also would attending training camps in Middle school prepare you to play High School baseball?

Any time there is a opportunity to get better----- take it! Its the parents responsibility to find camps that emphasize age specific skill instruction. To often camps are baby setting services and stipends for asistant coaches. Because this should be a learning enviroment. Just like school there should be a question and answer period sometime before bed and after dinner. If he/she is confused? The instruction is not age approiate. If he/she can answer questions but not about baseball! This is a baby setting service. When he/she can demostrate technique and throw out not
until now baseball terminologies! Money well spend! No this want guarantee that he will make high school team. But it will provide a better understanding of the "game".
