Stephanie Owsiany is a softball instructor on the Frozen Ropes of Union staff. She is currently an assistant coach at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Florham Park where she has been since 2014.
Owsiany played college softball for four years at Mercy College where she earned an athletic scholarship. During the 2008 season, Stephanie started all 39 games at 1st base where she recorded 28 hits, including two doubles, knocked in 11 runs and scored 10 runs. She had a .978 fielding percentage. She registered five multi-hit performances, going 2-for-3 in both ends of a doubleheader vs. Centenary, 2-for-4 with two RBI at Dowling and 3-for-4 at Nyack. Stephanie also excelled in the classroom where she earned a B.S. degree in Communication Disorders. In addition to her time as a student athlete, Stephanie was a member of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association and coached a 12 and under softball team in New Jersey.
Stephanie's playing, coaching and teaching experience, and her passion for the game will benefit the softball players she coaches.
