Joseph Meola is a baseball and softball instructor on the Frozen Ropes of Union staff. He will leverage his high school and college playing experience along with his college baseball coaching experience to teach hitting, fielding and all around skills to athletes of all ages.
Joseph had a stellar high school baseball career while playing centerfield at Columbia High School which he capped off by being named to the all county team during his senior season. Joe leveraged his high school success into a college baseball playing career at Bloomfield College. While at Bloomfield College, Joe was a four year starter in centerfield and showed his strong leadership skills by earning the captain designation during his junior and senior seasons. Joe was named to the all conference tournament team, in the CACC, during his sophomore season and was one of the top base stealers in the conference during his junior season. Joe excelled in the classroom as well where he earned a teaching degree.
After finishing his playing career, Jospeh wanted to remain involved in the game and transitioned to the coaching ranks where he now serves as an assistant baseball coach at Bloomfield College. Joe coaches the outfielders and spends time coaching the team with hitting and base running. Joe's playing and coaching experience, teaching experience and passion for the game will benefit the baseball and softball players he coaches.
