Michael Cundari is a baseball instructor on the Frozen Ropes of Union staff. Michael also serves as an assistant baseball coach at St. Joseph's College in NY. He will leverage his high school and college playing experience along with his collegiate baseball coaching experience to teach hitting, fielding and all around skills to athletes of all ages.
Michael was a 2-year varsity starter at St. Peter's Boys High School in Staten Island, NY and led his team with a .326 average his senior season. Michael leveraged his high school success into a college baseball playing career as a catcher and first baseman at St. Joseph's College in NY from 2011-2014 where he served as a team captain for an unprecedented three seasons. Michael capped off his career in his senior season by hitting .375 and leading the nation in fielding by not committing an error in 327 chances. Michael received many accolades during his career including being named to the Association of Division III All-Independent Teams all four seasons including 1st team in his junior and senior seasons. Michael was also named to D3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings All-New York Region Teams in 2014.
Michael ended his career with excellent career statistics including 165 hits, 107 RBI and 124 runs scored. He became only the 2nd player in school history to amass over 100 hits, 100 runs scored and 100 RBI in his career.
Michael also excelled in the classroom as he was named to the US Collegiate Athletic Association Academic All-American all four years of his collegiate career. Michael will leverage his playing and coaching experience and passion to teach baseball and softball players of all ages and ability.
