Keith grew up playing baseball in New Jersey. After graduation from Montclair State University, he was selected in the 42nd round of the 1994 June Draft. As a reliever for most of his 9 year career, he realized his dream in 1998 while spending that year with the Cincinnati Reds. This was just one year removed from his first shoulder surgery. He later made it back to the big leagues in 2000, before having his second and final shoulder surgery in 2001. Keith retired in 2002 and has been living in Charlotte, NC with his wife and 3 boys since 2000. He recently moved back to the area and currently resides in Shrewsbury.
