Frozen Ropes 12U DEVO Team Brings Home the Hardware Again in Delaware National Tournament
The Frozen Ropes 12U DEVO Team successfully competed in the Sports at the Beach National Tournament in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware the week of July 27th. The Frozen Ropes Tigers brought home 2nd Place honors competing against teams from Virginia, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York. The National Tournament was capped off with a come-from-behind semifinals victory against a strong New Jersey team. The picture below shows the team after the championship game. The Frozen Ropes 12 and Under baseball team was crowned Champion of the Greater Lakes Baseball League Memorial Day Weekend Tournament in Cleveland, Ohio. Teams from surrounding states battled to win this coveted title. Rochester was well-represented with 3 out of the 4 play-off bound teams coming from the Rochester area. The Championship pitted the Frozen Ropes team against the North Coast Stars with Frozen Ropes earning the title in an exciting and well-played 8-6 victory. Throughout the tournament, Greg Cullen and Joe Pasko led the offensive charge with a combined 16 hits out of 29 at-bats with Pasko rattling in an in-the-park homerun. Colin Johnston, Anthony Macera, Brad Mills, and Cameron Serapilio-Frank were among those providing the pitching prowess with Serapilio-Frank earning the championship win with 5 strikeouts.
