Frozen Ropes of Natick brings its baseball and softball training tent for the day pro bono; the company has been a popular stopping point at the fair for four years.

Frozen Ropes staff at Fenway Park!

Frozen Ropes has been a proud sponsor of the Jimmy Fund Fantasy Day for 3 years. Our inflatable pitching station and video analysis system is set up in the concourse. Players of all ages can test their throwing speed and our staff gives free instruction. Each year some of our staff are also invited to take some swings and play the outfield.

This year Frozen Ropes is looking to increase the total donation to the Jimmy Fund by finding other businesses and individuals to join our team on the field during hitting and fielding. You must register directly with the Jimmy Fund. Registration includes a uniform, pictures, hitting and fielding spot (approx 15 swings and 30 minutes fielding), DVD of your at-bats, etc. There is also an option for a player under 18 to hit only (at a reduced price). Anyone on our team would also be able to come to one of several free "training" sessions at our facility in Natick for some comradery, practice and instructional help prior to the event.

Frozen Ropes Natick supports the Jimmy Fund

On June 28, 2008 Frozen Ropes Natick volunteered its time and expertise at the Jimmy Fund Fantasy Day at Fenway Park. Since 1992, Jimmy Fund Fantasy Day has raised nearly $6 million in support of cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber. Members of the Frozen Ropes staff, including owners John Badaracco and Steve Abbatine, welcomed young participants and invited them to see how fast they throw on the Frozen Ropes Inflatable, which was setup in the concourse at Fenway Park. The Frozen Ropes staff also provided hitting instruction to on-field participants in the visitors batting cage, as well as headlined a seminar on the finer points of hitting.

Frozen Ropes looks forward to the opportunity to help raise money for the Jimmy Fund in June 2009!
