Danny Florence - Co-Owner  

Danny (Flo) is co-owner of Frozen Ropes McKinney. He has more than 20 years of experience in coaching baseball and helping players maximize their baseball skills and is very well known in the national coaching community for his passionate attention to detail in all aspects of the game. Danny has been a national speaker at conventions throughout the country and is a specialist in analyzing throwing motion and helping players gain arm speed while reducing the chances of injury. He holds a BS in Kinesiology from University of North Texas.

Danny served as Assistant Coach at both Brookhaven CC and McKinney HS before taking over the reins at Sherman HS and building that program into an annual playoff contender. Danny has also spent the last 17 years coaching the highest level of select baseball in the DFW area and has been a scout for the Atlanta Braves and the Cincinnati Reds. He is in charge of the development plan of the company as well as overseeing the instructional consistency of all baseball instruction at Frozen Ropes North Dallas. Danny and his wife Judy reside in McKinney, TX with their two children, AJ (18) and Bailey (14).

Corey Thornton - Lead Instructor

Coach T is Lead Instructor at Frozen Ropes Mckinney.  He has 20 plus years experience in teaching and coaching baseball in the DFW area.  Coach Thornton severd as an assistant coach at Brookhaven CC for 10 years and head coach for 3 seasons, helping BHC reach the NJCAA Division 1 Regionals and the NJCAA Division 3 Regionals.   Coach T has helped guide teams to Connie Mack and Mickey Mantle World Series appearances in summer select baseball and has posted 2 of only 4 undefeated seasons in Dallas BBI 18 and under's top division.

Corey has worked as an associate scout for the Tampa Bay Rays.  Coach T got his start in the High School ranks, working two years as an assistant varsity coach.  Coach Thornton began teaching private lessons in 1992 and received his BS in Kinesiology and MED in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University.  Corey resides in Plano Texas.    

Janell Florence - Office Manager 

Janelle is responsible for all accounting and monthly income reporting at Frozen Ropes McKinney. Janell also coordinates any scheduling issues that may arise.

She is a long-time resident of McKinney, TX and is very involved in her grandkids' activities, an active member of The First Baptist Church of McKinney, and the one person who keeps us all in line. Janell resides in McKinney, TX.

John Briscoe - Senior Instructor

John is a Sr. Instructor and has been with Frozen Ropes North Dallas since 2005 and has quickly become one of the most popular pitching coaches in the system. He has a special way of teaching his students about mound presence, finger pressures, and the mental side of pitching as well as the rhythm and swing direction in his hitters.

John spent 6 yrs with the Oakland A's during his 15 year professional baseball stint before arm injuries ended his pitching career. John and his wife Kay reside in Dallas, TX with their daughter, Sloan (18 months).

TJ Ladd - Youth Program and Party Coordinator

TJ is our Youth Program/Party Coordinator and is a full time instructor at Frozen Ropes.  He grew up in the Frozen Ropes system with Danny Florence and was a star infielder at McKinney North HS.  After his college baseball career ended, TJ came back to become an instructor.  TJ is in his 3rd year here and is certified in the Frozen Ropes system. He works closely with Chris Kilburn and Jason Fuller keeping the youth program curriculum fun and fresh.  TJ coaches the Frozen Ropes 13u AAA team.  He resides in Mckinney. 

Ryan Dittfurth - Instructor

Ryan has been teaching with Frozen Ropes North Dallas since 2004. Ryan graduated from Tulsa Union High School and was a 5th round draft choice of the Rangers in 1998. In 2001 he was their Minor League Pitcher of the Year winner and attended the 2002 Futures game. He has been playing professionally for 10 years.

Ryan is one of the favorites at Frozen Ropes with his students for his attention to mechanical detail and his unique mental approach for pitchers. Ryan and his wife Melani and their daughter Linley live in Melissa.

Josh Aleman - Instructor 

Josh is a full time instructor at Frozen Ropes and is in his second year here in McKinney.  Josh played high school baseball for Coach Flo at Sherman and was an integral part of their back to back regional appearances.  Josh pitched and played first for Flo.  Josh had the opportunity to grow up in the Frozen Ropes system and his teaching style reflects his long-time experience here. 

Josh passed up the opportunity to play college baseball to play football.  Josh played at Texas Tech for Coach Mike Leach.  Josh is a favorite with his students at Frozen Ropes.  His knowledge base coupled with his love of baseball and great personality help his students reach their potential in a fun, well structured environment. 

Jason Fuller - Instructor

Jason grew up in the Frozen Ropes system with Danny Florence and was a star infielder at McKinney HS.

Jason signed his letter of intent and played college baseball at Eastfield College before an arm injury ended his playing career. Jason brings a lot of high energy and positive reinforcement into his lessons and classes.

Because of his experience of growing up in the Frozen Ropes system, he is great at taking his students through the progressive phases of hitting, throwing, etc. and building them into high level players.

Jake Jackson - Instructor 

Ben Montgomery - Instructor

Ben is one of our most sought after hitting and fielding coaches in the system. He also is the Head Coach of the Frozen Ropes Titans 15U team. Ben attended McKinney HS where he was a standout 2nd Baseman. He then attended Eastfield JC and also Richland CC before injuries caused him to end his playing career.

He grew up being taught by Danny Florence in the Frozen Ropes system and is another instructor here that has the ability to relate to his students in a way that produces results quickly. Ben is currently attending the University of North Texas working on his degree. He resides in Denton, TX.

Phillip McCloud - Instructor

Phillip comes to Frozen Ropes after nine seasons coaching with the Texas Glory.  Phillip has been a member of the National fastpitch Coaches Association since 2004 and has a 2 star NFCA coaching certification.  He has been teaching private instruction for two years.  Phillip has worked with over 30 college players since 2006.  His daughter Sarah is the top pitcher at the University of Georgia.
