Katie Marks competed at a high level for her entire softball career. She played at Texas A&M University for three years and at The University of South Carolina for one year. Her pitching experience in the SEC helped Katie to grow as a player and a coach. She has a passion for teaching the mechanics of pitching along with the mental aspects of the game.
Katie grew up in Katy, Texas and began playing softball at 5 years old. After playing for KGSA for 5 years, she started her tournament career with the Katy Cruisers. As a freshman in high school, Katie joined the Impact Gold organization, and in her senior season, she led the team to a second place finish at ASA- Gold Nationals. Katie played four years on Varsity under Kalum Haack at Katy High School, and earned first-team All-Greater Houston accolades and District 19-5A MVP honors as a senior.
During her years at Texas A&M, Katie started giving private pitching lessons and developed a strong passion for coaching. "Seeing players take pride in their performance after putting in the work to master a certain skill or pitch is why I enjoy coaching.
