Bill started playing baseball at the early age of 4. He eventually began playing in the local recreational leagues and continued right through high school. Bill then began attending Pasadena City College, majoring in business studies. Bill kept his baseball interests alive, playing in the local leagues, a few scout teams, such as the Mariners and Ranger). He received all his baseball and softball experience coaching alongside some of the best coaches in baseball, including Wally Walters, Richard Campbell, Fate Young and some of the best softball minds in the game, such as his father William Sr. and Tony Medina. Bill's father coached his sister's travel softball team and that is where Bill learned all the skills he has now. Altogether, Bill has 40 years of experience. He's coached at the Elite softball level from 1997 to present with teams such as Primetime, Toxic Glendora, Teamsmith, E1 Propsects, Bishop Amat High School (Varsity, JV, Freshman) 2015 to Present.
