A three-sport athlete at Valley Central High School, Mark Russo has extensive local ties to the area and has been working at Frozen Ropes for more than 15 years. More recently, Mark ran the Danbury facility for 10 years, and is now be a Senior Instructor at our National Training Center in Chester, NY.
Mark played soccer and baseball at Johnson State College and studied sports medicine at Old Dominion University. He was Conference Freshman of the Year in baseball.
Mark is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer and has worked side by side with more than 25 professional players. He has helped develop hundreds of college players, including Matt Barnes, the top pitching prospect in the Red Sox organization.
Frozen Ropes in Chester welcomes back Marc Russo from its Danbury location. Marc has been with Frozen Ropes as an instructor for over 10 years and has personally trained many HS softball pitchers that have gone on to play College softball. Marc oversees the PitchFit and RockFit strength programs for softball pitchers and all players at Frozen Ropes.
